I noticed that this species has never been recorded in Milwaukee County. This is a surprise but at the same time, there is unfortunately little coverage in a major metropolitan area. I decided to go with my hunch which was the Root River (I've seen them on the same river in Racine Co.). Upon my arrival, not even 60 seconds later, I spotted one along the river not far from the Sports Complex.
