Purpose:
To provide a program for Wisconsin citizens who want to learn about and improve the quality of Wisconsin streams and rivers. Citizen groups from throughout Wisconsin are using Water Action Volunteer and DNR sampling protocols to monitor the health of their hometown streams and rivers. They monitor a variety of parameters to assess physical, chemical, and biological health of their local streams.
